Mueller questioned Steve Bannon regarding Russia probe



  1. Bannon questioned by Mueller in Russia probe  

    Former White House adviser Steve Bannon answered questions from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team for two days but remained quiet during testimony to the House Intelligence Committee.

    Sources said Bannon was interviewed for about 20 hours by prosecutors and Mr Mueller.

    One source allegedly said said Bannon was questioned about his knowledge of Donald Trump’s reasons for firing James Comey as FBI director in 2017 and about his dealings with the Russian ambassador by former national security adviser Michael Flynn and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law.

    Representative Adam Schiff called for the initiation of contempt of Congress proceedings against Mr Bannon.
