Former Donald Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg, who had balked at testifying in the investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign, appeared at the federal courthouse in Washington on Friday as part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe. Reuters.com
Special Counsel Robert Mueller apparently wants to determine whether Roger Stone, a political consultant and ally of Donald Trump, had played any role in the publication of Democratic emails hacked by Russia.
Nunberg, 36, is an associate of Stone, of whom which he alluded to among other parties as possibly being implicated in the Russian investigation during his day-long televised rant Wednesday on whether he would or would not comply with the grand jury subpoena.
Nunberg did not speak speak to reporters before or after his testimony.
